This is a video by Microsoft Labs, showing its vision of what the world could be like in 2019. Interestingly, many of the technologies in this video already exist, including transparent OLED touchscreens and flexible monolayer graphene touchscreens (gotta love those newspapers).
This is something Intel Mobile Communications deal in, 4G LTE baseband circuits for smartphones. This video mainly deals with how to optimize LTE plans and infrastructure for customers.
Recently I watched a movie called "Surrogates". Here's the trailer...
It tells of a future where humans interact via remote-controlled androids called 'surrogates'. While this is presented as bad phenomenon in the movie, due to the side-effect of decreasing human-to-human contact, I think this is a incredible prospect with limitless potential, and I felt that my area of interest will be instrumental to bringing something like this into reality.
